OpenPeak Makes OpenFrame IP Media Phone Official

The touchscreen phone game is heating up. AT&T just announced the availability of their AT&T Home Manager system, and now OpenPeak has made their OpenFrame IP Media Phone official by selecting Intel’s Atom processor as the core engine of their touchscreen device. The OpenFrame is almost analogous in feature set to the AT&T Home Manager. Both are touchscreen devices with pocket sized handsets and both can display email, calendar, make VoIP calls, stream Youtube, show movie times and more. AT&T surely has an advantage since they can subsidize their cost with services, but perhaps OpenPeaks has a VoIP up their sleeve?

Gadgets At A Glance: Tantrum Throwing Alarm Clock

What is it: An alarm clock with a difference. When the time is right this clock will throw a tantrum of noises and movements. It’s like having a 4 year old on christmas morning… everyday.

Features: Ummm, it moves, it moves some more and, oh yeah it makes a really really big noise.

Sony Ericsson Launches Ladies Bluetooth Watches: MBW-200

You’ll have to pardon my lack of excitement, but when I read that a consumer electronics manufacture is stepping out of its core operation, clothing accessories in this case, it tends to disturb my delicate sensibilities. The Sony Ericsson MBW-200 watch, a female iteration of the men’s MBW-150, connects to Sony Ericsson phones via Bluetooth and displays caller idea and track information on the mini OLED screen. Additionally, wearers can control the phone’s MP3 player.

Spykee Robot Can Be Controlled Via Skype

There nothing quick like mainstream compatibility. In the last 8 months I’ve become a huge Skype fan, thanks to their $3 a month ‘call anywhere in the US unlimited plan’. I don’t leave my apartment, let alone my bedroom very much, but if I did, I’d wanna keep it surveilled with the Spykee Robot. The Spykee can be controlled via Skype, which enables not only streaming CCTV video, but voice conferencing with the perpetrator. Other features include playing MP3 players via your computer and WiFi network, motion sensors, and self charging in case the batteries run low.

Solar Powered iPhone Case

Get all green on your iPhone with the Solar Powered iPhone case. Apparently, it works with Gen 1 and 2 iPhones and provides a peak power of .61 watts, which equates to a purported ‘less than 3 hour charge time’.

Macbook Pro Cooler

Sleek, simple and utilitarian. That’s what this conceptual Macbook Pro cooler embodies. Hidden beneath the Apple logo is a fan and heatsink, which sucks out the heat. I’m not sure how you’d connect the extra USB and Firewire, but who cares, this thing is bad ass!
